Energy sharing within a local community
Mécalys Business Park Renewable Energy Community
The Mécalys business park, located in the Fernelmont/Andenne area of Namur Province, brings together companies with complementary activities that have decided to join forces to share solar energy.
A project born from a collective vision
This feasibility study, coordinated by BEP Namur (Economic Bureau of Namur Province), brought together various stakeholders from the park: logistics warehouses, agri-food SMEs, offices, and even public transport with the arrival of TEC and its fleet of electric buses.

Natural complementarity
The diversity of consumption profiles creates an ideal synergy: peak consumption times of some correspond to off-peak times of others, maximizing collective self-consumption of solar energy produced on the park.
